Due to its optimum physical and mechanical properties, reinforced polyester is highly applicable in different areas, and its advantages compared to other materials are the possibility to design both simple and complex forms, incomparably low weight accompanied by high hardness values, quite cheap production and installation, smooth surface, high resistance to UV radiation, resistance to high and low temperatures, salt air, chemically aggressive environment, corrosion resistance, long life. Polyester is suitable for combining with other materials whereby the structural materials of extraordinary properties are created. With a proper selection of the reinforcements, each polyester product can match steel in terms of hardness, and all of this is followed by incomparably low weight and no subsequent corrosion.
